“Day 19” Just Another (perfect) Day
Carlos Knight Jasmine has a game at the Y and loses for only the third time in his life. How does he know it’s just his third loss playing in his 4th season in a league where they don’t keep score? Good question. The answer is this kid knows the score of every game he has ever played in and I really don’t know why. I must admit it amazes me and I kinda love it but the other kids don’t seem to be keeping track.
Well it was a tough game and he struggled a bit but that’s good. He lost and that’s good too. After the game he was really upset but here’s the best part for me as a dad to tell you about. He shook everyones hand and thanked the opposing coaches and the ref. He did not cry or throw any thing(while we were in the gym) and this made me so proud to be his dad. Then we got in the car and he cried until we got to the restaurant. May be we just let him go too long without food and his blood sugar just got low.
So after dinner we drove to our new house in south side JAX that we are scheduled to close on in 3 weeks YAY! Then we drove around our new neighbor hood and found, you guessed it a lighted basketball court. There we met two kids, Julius and J.T. and their father.
